2010 - Mid Amateur Inter Provincial EP Team
The EPGU announced on 18 November 2009 that they will be sending a fully representative team of eight to the Inter Provincial in October 2010 which will be hosted by the Boland Golf Union. This is good news for EP Golfers over the age of 35 who are seeking that competitive edge once again.
The 2009 Eastern Cape side made up of three EP, two Border and three Southern Cape players finished a credible 2nd this year at the tournament played at the Irene Country Club.
The eight man squad will be selected towards the end of July 2010 based on the qualifying criteria as listed hereunder :
A minimum of 10 rounds are to be played and these can be made up out of the following fourteen rounds in the 2010 calendar:
Any three of the following will count;
1. The EP Amateur qualifying round of 36 holes.
2. The EP Under 23 Championships.
3. The EP/Border Championships.
4. EP Country Districts Championships
Any two of the following will count;
1. The Uitenhage Prestige Open
2. The Fish River Sun Open
3. The PE Golf Club Open.
The side will be announced at the PE Open in August next year.
