On Sunday, Jock played reasonably solid golf but did struggle to come to terms with the wind and the distance differential between inland and the coast. He started with a silly drop when misjudging the wind, but followed that with a birdie and finished with a birdie at the ninth. He managed another three birdies and made an ugly double at the tenth to go along with another two bogeys for a level par 72.
A windless day two held the promise of low scoring, but only Jock managed to break par. He had a very solid round with three birdies and two 3-putt bogeys. Defending champion Neil Abrahamse (George GC) finished down the order on 154. Piero Rossi (Humewood) won the B Division championship on 80 stableford points, followed by Claude Hulley (PE Golf Club) on 73.
Brothers Jonathan and Humphrey Hobday shared first place in the super seniors (over 60 years) section. Both made 155 but Jonathan from Mowbray GC won on a count-out from Humphrey, who plays at Plettenberg Bay.
